Please join us in welcoming Keenan Lorenzato as the new Youth Programs Coordinator for Pacific Yearly Meeting!
You may recognize Keenan, a long-time attender of Davis Friends Meeting who has been active in PacYM for many years. He has served previously as director of Camp Woolman at Sierra Friends Center and as the Friend in Residence at Berkeley Friends Meeting. He has attended many Annual Sessions where he taught in the Children’s Program and served as the Children’s Program Coordinator.
Spiritually, Keenan spent a student residence term at Pendle Hill and led the spiritual nurturance group while attending Guilford College’s Quaker Leadership Scholars Program. Academically, he earned a minor in Quakerism at Guilford to supplement his education at the Woolman Semester Program.
Keenan also brings important organizational skills to the position of Youth Programs Coordinator. He most recently worked for HandsOn Bay Area, a leader in volunteer event management. At HandsOn Bay Area, he managed large events including database management, project management, and logistics for hundreds of events. This experience will enable him to serve PacYM youth both virtually and in-person when we are able.
We look forward to the joy and energy that Keenan brings to this position. He will begin as YPC on March 15.
(sent on behalf of the Youth Programs Coordinating Committee by Sharon Gates, Assistant to the Clerk of Pacific Yearly Meeting)
