PacYM committees, Friends organizations, and Monthly Meetings are encouraged to offer workshops, conversations, roundtables, worship, and similar programs throughout the year.
These events may be online, in-person, or hybrid, and can be offered for the PacYM community or for a wider audience. A formal proposal is not required, but the workshop or program should be seasoned by an appropriate sponsoring committee, organization, or Meeting.
Other places to share your workshop or program
You may also want to announce your workshop or program through other Quaker networks. You can post an announcement to the Pacific Yearly Meeting Facebook group anytime and submit an announcement to Western Friend’s Extra Extra weekly mailing (submission cutoff is Thursdays).
What PacYM can provide
PacYM can provide several kinds of support for workshops and programs offered during the year, depending on what you need:
- Zoom space for planning and/or the workshop or program
- page on the PacYM website
- tile on the homepage
- listing on the PacYM Calendar
- announcement in the Friendly News
- sign-up form and follow-up communication
- distribution or posting of Zoom links where needed
