Note: Calendar includes select Ben Lomond Quaker Center workshops of particular interest
to teens and young adults, though all their workshops are open to interested Friends of any age,
and childcare can be arranged by request. See their website for full listings. Quaker Center annual passes can be used for camps as well as workshops.

  • November 18-20: “Primitive Quakerism Revived” – Workshop with Paul Buckley (Ben Lomond Quaker Center, CA; see website for complete list of workshops). “Early Friends declared they had revived primitive Christianity, stripping away centuries of added-on human inventions. They unearthed the vital principles of early Christianity and applied them to 17th-century social conditions to create something new. Deconstructing the Culture of White Supremacy and Privilege: Creating Peace, Equity and Opportunity in the Heartland.” (Kansas City, MO).   • May 26-28: Clerking Workshop (organized by Young Adult Friends, held at Sierra Friends Center in Nevada City, CA). Facilitators: Diego Navarro and Barbara Babin. All ages welcome. Teens are invited, too, and must have an adult sponsor or parent/guardian onsite and submit medical/permission forms in a timely manner; there is a box on the form to indicate the teen’s sponsor or to request help.
